At the “Christmas Venture” on December 14, 2023, the InnoDom was truly in the Christmas spirit: from delicious mulled wine poured at the startup’s bar bike to “Haferzauber” from The Oater and crêpes from the Crêpebude Zollstock, to roasted almonds and tarte flambée.
Guests were welcomed in the yellow “Like-It” by the university’s new rector, Prof. Dr. Joybrato Mukherjee.
In his keynote address, “Start-ups and Their Role in the Modern Christmas Fairy Tale,” investor and entrepreneur Tim Schumacher covered a wide range of topics, from AI to start-ups to climate change.
This was followed by an atmospheric sing-along concert with Kathrin Eigendorf, featuring many classics from “Let It Snow!” to “Stääne” and “Imagine” to “Feliz Navidad.”
Andreas Klein from Gateway ESC served as the host, guiding the audience through the evening in an engaging and entertaining manner.
Henrik Burger from The Oater took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the University Foundation on behalf of the InnoDom community. We financed and built the InnoDom, which features 164 coworking spaces. We celebrated the opening of our flagship project as recently as the end of June 2023.
In the InnoDom foyer, the startups OH CIRCLE, Save the Grain, and The Oater also had booths set up for “Christmas Venture”! While networking was underway, architect Linda Leers from kadawittfeldarchitektur gave a group of guests a tour of the building.
